Smile like you'll never see me again

“Most human beings have an almost infinite capacity for taking things for granted.”
-Aldous Huxley

Why do we usually take things for granted?

That’s one question I would love to know. Sometimes, I have to admit that I think like everyone is going to stay and no one’s going to leave me again. Ha! What a wishful thinking!!! Can we just  accept the brutal fact of life that everything is temporary?

A balloon flies away

A big part of letting go is recognizing when it is time to stay in the situation and when it is time to move on. - Darren L. Johnson

Holding a balloon denotes the art of letting go. Just lose its string.
Then, the balloon flies away.

“Letting go doesn't mean that you don't care about someone anymore.
It's just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself.”
― Deborah Reber, Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul

The First Sunrise of 2013

Have you ever thought of keeping your eyes wide open just to witness the first majestic entrance of the sun this year? Whether it's a yes or no, I know it's a priceless experience to see the extravagant shades of orange, yellow, red, and pink in the sky. When those colors shimmer in the light, sunrise seems an enchantment in our eyes.

A nocturnal being like me rarely witness one. It's like looking for an aurora borealis in the middle of the day. Because there was a slight chance of embracing the first sunrise, I totally grabbed it like a kid who wants to eat the first slice of a luscious ham.
